When you look at the detail, there is very little in the Budget to help small businesses fuel growth. The emphasis is on medium and large sized businesses + wealthy investors. We can only hope that spending at the top end will percolate down to the smaller businesses that service them. If we're lucky this will breed renewed confidence across the board. The Marketing Eyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15900678581198955909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4537247016429680551.post-70626934758967500572011-03-25T16:07:47.221+00:002011-03-25T16:07:47.221+00:00A good budget. Even lower corporation tax rates, exceptionally generous Entrepreneurs relief increase, and implication that 50% tax rate is temporary. Encourages investment in UK, and means trading as a company now looks particularly attractive. PAYE issues are going to be the worry in the near future though.Richard Suttonhttp://uk.linkedin.com/pub/richard-sutton/10/6a4/435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4537247016429680551.post-59266885111441041522011-03-25T16:05:46.928+00:002011-03-25T16:05:46.928+00:00"Still feel we are very much in no mans land...."Still feel we are very much in no mans land. How the spending cuts will manifest themselves at a local level remains unclear in the South East. Service industry confidence over the next 1-2 years remains low due to uncertainty about what impact certain rate rises will have on the housing market and consumer spending. At the same time inflationary pressures in food, clothing and fuel are horrendous. Fuel particularly in the large rural swathe of Kent and East Sussex."Richard Gouldhttp://uk.linkedin.com/pub/richard-gould/27/259/7b9noreply@blogger.com
